41 Truss was purchased in October of 2005 by Dave Wood.  Dave comes to 41 Truss with over 25 years as president, partner, or board member of other commodity based manufacturing businesses of a larger scale.  Following the acquisition, Dave and the 41 Truss Team focused on an extensive analysis of how to improve every activity of the business. 

Dave was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Builders Association www.tbba.net and intends to increase the value of that organization to it's members.

Being one of very few manufacturing businesses in Florida that have earned the Sharp Award, the University of South Florida and LifeBack Enterprises have asked 41 Truss to participate in an empirical study which will provide participants a proven way to identify best practices in our mutual interest of workplace safety.  The goal of the study is to reduce back injuries in the workplace, reduce workman's compensation claims, and reduce workman's compensation premiums in the state of Florida.  As of June 2007, there are approximately 3,075 workers compensation back injury claims that have been active for one year or longer at a staggering average cost of $49,010.43 and growing.
