The 41 Truss designers work out of our 6,000 sq. ft. office and wood truss design center. All roof truss and floor truss designers at 41 Truss work within the guidelines of our strict Truss Design Standards document. This proprietary document was created using a combination of the best practices from multiple wood truss design software packages available on the market today. Our "value engineered" wood truss design process follows much more stringent design, quality, integrity, and installation efficiency guidelines than are required by most builders, providing a "value engineered" approach to our wood truss systems. Our designers work within a "team and team leader" organizational structure which allows us to assign individual projects and customers to a team of wood truss design professionals. The wood truss design team members then operate in unison through a series of design checks and balances in order to create the most cost effective wood truss designs possible, without sacrificing the quality and integrity of the roof or floor truss system.
41 Truss is pleased and honored that five of our truss designers and five of our custom truss designs are being considered for the Truss Designer of the Year Award and the Truss Design of the Year Award for 2007.
This design team model carrys over into the building of the roof and floor truss systems as well. Our truss builders also work within a "team and team leader" structure which creates continuity and quality in the roof truss and floor truss systems we build. Since our production supervision are also cross-trained as designers, the interaction, and communication between our designers and builders is completely open, constructive, and effective. Our standard roof and floor truss construction practice is to also assign customers or projects to the same "table teams" that then work in unison with the appropriate wood truss design team to continually look for continuous improvement opportunities in the way we design and build structural wood truss systems.
We also look for ways to provide framers in the field efficient and trouble free systems to install, reducing the time and cost of installation for our mutual builder customers. Some of the most positive and constructive comments we receive are from framers who have installed our wood truss systems throughout west central Florida. Their input is invaluable to our success.
All process and product improvement opportunities at 41 Truss must be identified as positive, measureable, and sustainable, and are then shared with the customer and put into practice. This is an ongoing process, allowing our designers and builders to continuously search out the best approach to designing and building our structural wood truss systems.
This "value engineering" approach to our business continues to add value to the customer experience.
